Who Brought the POWER in April (2021)?
Erin Amundson
This month we are highlighting a mom and Power Ryder who started ryding with us as soon as our doors re-opened post-shutdown! It's hard to believe she doesn't even know what a full, 32-person class feels like, because she was not a client before the shutdown!
Erin began ryding with us in July of 2020 and in the last 10-months, she has taken over 130 Power Ryde classes, both Cycle and Circuit. That's about 13 classes a month; amazing! Erin is an avid evening and Saturday morning ryder and she works hard in every class she attends. Way to go Erin!!
Keep reading below to learn about Erin, why she rydes, some fun facts about her, and her passion for all things food!
What brought you to Power Ryde?
I was looking for a fun, new way to get fit.
Do you remember your first ryde and how you felt after?
It was sooo hard and I was very saddle sore. But I liked that it was such a challenge and wanted to keep at it.
What has kept you coming back for more week after week?
I feel better, sleep better and it seems to have cured my chronic headaches.
Do you have a favorite moment that you remember at Power Ryde?
I enjoy doing classes with my daughter, Avery, when she is home from college. And my favorite moment was when she was impressed by my ability to keep up throughout an entire ryde.
What is your favorite music to ryde to?
Remixes and mash-ups. I often add songs to my own playlist that I've heard in Power Ryde.
Tell us a fun fact about your yourself.
I was born in Turkey while my dad was serving in the US Air Force.
When you are not Power Ryding, what can we find you doing?
All things food! I like to cook, watch cooking shows and I love go to out- whether to dives or five-star restaurants- to experience new cuisine.
I also enjoy time with family and traveling.
